THAMPURATTY

A project inspired by the caste system that once ruled over the state of Kerala, India. Exploring the fashion of the Nair women in the state of Kerala (my native) that explicitly made people understand and accept where in the hierarchy of caste they are placed. The project showcases a woman of a typical Nair household, where elegance and beauty comes natural. The Nair lady radiates a soft beauty combined with inner strength and intelligence that go beyond the beauty of the exterior.
